“There’s always a crumb left…”
Oscar is missing!. He is the creator of the perfect apple tart and everyone assumes he’s dead. The only people who haven’t given up hope yet is his best friend Meg and younger brother Stevie, while everyone else is consumed by grief, its up to them to find out what truly happened to Oscar and learn the true meaning of friendship, determination and hope in others.
Although there isn’t any huge cliff hanger, or daring sword fights, this book is dripping in true charm and originality. The characters have been well thought out with beautiful backdrops and settings it sticks out amongst the crowds,it brings something new to the table that hasn’t been seen before. The book is great light reading especially in the summer and perfect for young and old readers. It hasn’t reached to one of my favourites but certainly exceeded my expectations.
