Some of my Keepsake Books

FullSizeRender (9)There is always books that you want to keep in good condition and keep with you forever, sometimes because they remind you of someone, other times because you remember reading them somewhere special, or they have a scent attached to them that  you don’t want to forget. Me?, I have a few books that do all these things, but I also want to keep them for my future children and grandchildren, they will have amazing taste in their story books once I’m through!. I have a duty to myself to broaden my children’s horizons and continue on the next generation book worms and I have two books I want them to have. Faery tales by Carol Ann Duffy, is an exquisite hardback of fairy tales that I had grown up reading. It has a lot of thought and detail placed inside its pages aiming for young and older readers alike, the illustrations have the words jumping off the page and it looks so darn pretty, why wouldn’t it stay with me?.IMG_2447

IMG_2448Alas what kind of hufflepuff would I be, if I didn’t have a copy of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone in my repertoire. I recently purchased the truly magical illustrated hard back of the book from comic con and instantly died of all of the feelings. there isn’t enough words to describe how much emotion and attachment I have with the series, but it’s one that will be coming with me in every format I can get my hands on. Of course my children will become potter heads, there isn’t a choice in this matter!.

Although my library is always expanding, these two will always be there, but what kind of books do you want to keep?, why are they so special to you?, let me know in the comments I would love to hear.
